Pamela Ann Murphy is a Singer, Songwriter, Professional Musician, and Music Teacher who remains active in the Hudson Valley.
*Her talents include singing Classical, Broadway, Pop and Country music; playing piano, flute, guitar and many other instruments; directing musicals, pit orchestras and plays; producing benefit events and concerts; acting and performing in community fundraisers; recording artist and guest appearances on local radio and TV.
*Owner and Music Director of the Hudson Valley Conservatory of Fine Arts (HVC), located in Walden, NY was founded in 1992. Pamela coordinates and teaches music to students of all ages and actively helps to cultivate all aspects of the performing arts into a positive cultural experience.
*Co-Owner and Executive Music Producer of HVC's - The New Rose Theatre, located at 35 East Main Street in Walden, NY.
*Pamela has been instrumental in producing and implementing numerous charity shows (Montgomery Food Pantry, WWII Vets - Hudson Valley Honor Flight Program, American Red Cross, Hurricane Relief Fund, Walden USO Tour, Standup2cancer & AFSP) and community events (General Montgomery Day WRRV Stage Producer, Walden Day Performances) throughout the year. Many of Pamela’s events are performed in her unique 211 seat, on-site, black-box theater - The New Rose Theatre. Pam and her business partners, Amanda and Sam Wright added the theater five years after opening the HVC doors.
*Pam has been in numerous professional recording studios singing, playing piano, and playing flute, resulting in her songs (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Soldier Boy, Leader of the Pack, Star Spangled Banner, Do You Hear What I Hear) becoming available to the public on amazon, napster and iTunes.
**Pamela has recently released her own original album, SWEET DANGERS, an inspirational compilation of her original songs recorded at Destry Recording Studio which includes such songs as Little Angel, Enchanted by the Moon, Keep it Alive, Danger, Eternally and more. Pamela is currently working on her next album - SHADY LADY. Pamela gives many thanks to the support of her friend Deb Rogowski for being the positive influence & catalyst to getting her into the recording studio for her own original music.
*Also lending her support is her family, Pamela’s parents, Kathy and Bill Barrett reside in Cooperstown, NY; her two brothers Bill (wife Karen, kids: Brooklyn and Ginger) and Bob (wife Casey, kids: Andrew and Shea) live in California; her sister Barb (husband Jim, kids: Jess, Cass, and Cory) live in Red Hook, NY; her sister Andrea (husband Shaun) lives in North Charlestown, SC; and her precious sister Patti, proudly lives in a wonderful group home in Tivoli, NY. Pam’s immediate family resides with her in Walden, NY; her husband Michael and she have been together since Potsdam College and have three sons Michael III, Sean and Timothy - who have given her inspiration, love and laughter!

Pamela has had the opportunity to sing under the great American Composer Aaron Copland, along side opera singer Beverly Sills. She also worked with greats in the music business, such as Arthur Frackenpohl, Calvin Gage, Brock McElheran, Gordon Shacklette, Steve Margoshes and Samuel E. Wright. Pam has had the distinguished honor to be a PROFESSIONAL Choral Conductor to All-County Choruses in New York State - Orange and Dutchess Counties. Pam has joined the family at the Access23 TV Station. Pamela is the weekly musical on air personality, opening and closing each show with her vocal & piano skills, as well as, lending her witty personality and interviewing skills along side hosts Carl Richards & Erwin Benzee Benz for the Award winning show: Keepin Country Strong. She frequents the Mr. Phil Show, as a Musical Artist and Guest Co-Host , as well as, frequents the Keepin Country Strong Show as a Musical Artist. Her Radio jingle, Apples and Cider (Fly Creek Cider Mill and Otsego County Chamber of Commerce), which she played piano, recorded and sang - can still be heard if you visit the Cooperstown area. Pam has been acting and performing in regional companies (Luftnell Productions, PAM Productions, New Rose Theatre Productions) portraying a wide variety of characters (Queen Elizabeth, Allison Brilliant, Momella, Madame Nous, Alemap, Ta Ta, Queen Elizabeth) as well as, a small appearance on Little Mermaid 2 Commercial. Her personal friend Deb Rogowski, from Stormville NY, inspired her to start a production company, PAM Productions 007, which helps promote the importance of musical performances in local community events.
Pamela graduated from Crane School of Music receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree, and became a music teacher in the public school system for many years (VCHS, VCMS, Kinry Road, and GIS) and taught chorus, instrumental lessons, general music, music theory, jazz band, dance team, director to musicals, and pit orchestra director. Pam obtained her Master of Science Diploma from WCSU and proceeded to become a certified NYSSMA Adjudicator in 1992 and judged many festivals throughout New York State. Pam served on the OCMEA Executive Board in the capacity of Treasurer, Public Relations and Government Relations Officer. Since its formation, Pam continues to serve as Artistic Director to HVPOPS.
